Day 3: LFC vs. Vardar

So Close... but LFC loses 0-1.

LFC looked like they had it in the bag more than once, especially in the second half, with several shots on goal, but none made it in. With about 6 minutes left in the game, Vardar bounced one in on a header... lucky bounce!!



In the other half of the bracket, Kansas City beat Chicago 1-0, so Kansas City advances to the semi-final (tied points with Vardar, but beat them head to head Saturday).

Day 2 LFC vs KC Wizards: Good Weather part of the game

2:00 pm game against the KC Wizards. Weather was hot & humid to start the game. KC Wizards beat Vardar yesterday so this was a must-win game

Sioux Falls

Sightseeing at Falls Park in downtown Sioux Falls. We didn't really fall in....

LFC U16 Boys Premier played their first game in the Regionals this morning at 8am. The weather was great... sun was shining and actually very warm, though the grass still had a lot of dew.

Unfortunately it was a tough loss to Chicago Fire, 1-0. The Fire got an early goal in the first 10 minutes. Both teams went scoreless for the rest of the game. But it went down to the last second, when LFC got a penalty kick (handball in the box)... unfortunately no go, and right after, the referee blew the whistle. So close.

It's not over though... two more games in the round-robin, and then... We're hoping for the best!
